About - Your Journey to the Traumvilla

Flights

Arrival is possible on any day of the week. Your destination airport is Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA for short) in Katunayake north of Colombo. The travel time is all year round.

Besides other airlines Sri Lankan Airlines currently offers direct flights to Sri Lanka from Frankfurt. Lufthansa (from Frankfurt via Chennai or Bengalore), SWISS (via/from Zurich), Qatar Airways (from Frankfurt via Doha), Emirates (from Frankfurt via Dubai) and Oman Air (from Frankfurt via Muscat) also offer regular flights.

Our shuttle-service

If you wish, the Traumvilla staff will personally pick you up at the airport and drive you safely for a fee of €75 per trip. You will be welcomed with a name tag directly upon arrival after immigration and customs.
The drive to the Traumvilla takes about 1 hour.

By taxi or bus

Of course you can also organize your journey from the airport to the Traumvilla yourself. Taxis are available at the airport. Please negotiate a fixed price before you start your journey, which should generally not exceed €50.

The cheapest option is to take the bus to the train station in Bentota and from there take the TukTuk to the Traumvilla. However, since the bus does not use the newly built motorway, you have to plan about a 2-hour drive here.

By rental car

If you are planning to arrive by rental car, from the airport take the Southern Expressway E01 southbound to the Welipenna Interchange.
Exit the motorway, turn right and take the B157 for 11 kilometers towards Aluthgama.
Approximately 50 meters after crossing the railway tracks, turn left onto Colombo Main Rd towards Galle. As a guide you will see a small temple on the left.
After about one kilometer turn left onto Yathramulla Rd. Follow this for another 2.5 kilometers. The driveway to the Traumvilla is on the right side of the road.

Parking is available free of charge.
